The pictures below, submitted by Howard Phorson, show what damage a Seagull can do at 160mph. He was at 1500 feet over Toronto.
The repairs added up to almost 4500 can dollars and were mainly about reskinning the wing over one panel.
These pictures (submitted by Dale Vandever) reminds us that bird strikes are a concern for all pilots. This happened at NAS Corpus Christi, Texas with what appears to be a Sandhill Crane which are large and very heavy. The pilot and crew were very lucky!!
