COMANCHES ON THE FLY

Hugh Crowe, using the magic of his camera and pen, reports on the Northwest Fly-in at Walla Walla, Washington held on May 9-10-11, 2003.  Hosted by Arleen and Gordon Smith, the fly-in featured a Balloon Stampede, a wine country tour, dinners, and a special Sunday morning breakfast at Martin Field. Hugh printed a special photo-journal pamphlet commemorating the Fly-in and graciously allowed us to use his pictures and captions for you to see on comanchepilot.com.

Thanks much, Hugh.

 Walla Walla 2003

"Look out for the trees!"

"It's OK, Honey, I've got the ball."

                                     "Ball?  I don't see a ball!"

"It takes skill and experience to see the ball."

"All those landings on just one approach.  Wow!"

"Yep, the Navy taught us to do that to save the taxpayer's dollars."

Photographer, far right, sneaks into the picture.

Below, now you know why the courts won't accept digital pictures.
